Not another soul on the road, not a bend in the road. The mind starts to numb a bit. Just staring out into oblivion where the road disappears. Must be time for some photos. I went through an entire roll of film shooting this road and thinking about the shots. Had to keep my mind going somehow. Shooting without looking through the viewfinder. Just set the aperture at f/11 and focus to infinity. Eventually this came to an end and that portion of the drive was over. I found that I missed it. Life can get a bit strange in the desert.
There's a panorama in there, too, George. Think of the field of view a 90mm lens would give you and "zoom" into the features on the horizon. With a wide format, and the dip in the road, there's still enough road to establish the mood, and it works quite well. Try it, you might like it! (I certainly like this one as it is... NOTHING like it in Japan, for sure!)
this photo looks so old, but i know it isnt. this kind of reminds me of driven across texas on i-10, but the land in this photo isnt flat enough. this is good.
