It seems that the swan was sucessful in defending his area, he looks very proud without having fearness ... maybe :))
I like these kind of photographs. There is a lot of room for interpretation. It?s an image that makes me smiling and keeps my interest!

Très bonne composition Roby. C'est un bon moment, bien capté - encore meilleur si la tête du chien avait pu être visible. Mais plusieurs commentaires s'amusent de cette tête manquante, et c'est vrai que cela peut faire partie de l'histoire.
Je trouve que la remarque de Ivan sur l'harmonie des tons est très juste. Je ne l'aurais pas remarqué.

The title alone made me smile Roberto. I came to think of our old dog and how facinated yet scared he was of the swans. he eh, looks liek the dog got his head bitten off. Knowinf swans, i wouldn't be supriced he he. Thanks for the smile Roberto :-).
As to the photo, great DOF all over the picture, very well captured colours and a nice composition.
