I was at the bank of Thames, with my tripod. I've done several shots fo the sunris (they are posted in my portfolio). I was wandering what would happen if I take a photo straight into the sun, which was already quite high. My first thought was that It would not work, because parts of the photo would be underlighted, but then I decided to give it a chance. I got the view I wanted, metered the light, and lightmeter was showing something like 1/750 secs.... However the closest to that I have on my Hartblei is 1/1000 sec. So I just made 1/1000 and make a picture. I was really surprised when I saw the effect on the developed film :)
I like the shifted (to the right) feeling of the picture, the colors are absolutely brilliant... I Would like to know how you've done it because I think i have a poor imagination and the 1/1000 shutter speed doesn't exactly help me :). cheers
