About You see the Colosseum here, one of Nurembergs famous, but historically really ambiguous building. The Nazis tried to establish a sort of monument hall here but didn't succeed in finalizing it. Today, this building is used in different ways. Some photographers spend months and years here doing some "research". "Light, dark, light", one of my other pictures, is also made here.

PS: some work ;-) (color balance, multiply layers, cropping etc.). If you like I post the original shot.

Hi Thilo! Sorry for my late reply, I have been so busy lately and not much time for Usefilm! I like the attached one too, and of course you can post it as separe photo! It might be same building, but the two moods are totally different!

Dear Pia,

thanks for the sky feedback, will try to do that better in the future. Probably sometimes no sky is better than a weird one ;-)

Take care, Thilo

Hi Thilo, interesting building and perfect reflections in the water, I like most your composition. Your PS-work on the sky was a little bit too much....(just my opinion).....
Otherwise super shot!

best regards,
*Pia*

Hi Verena,

Dear Kristina,

thanks for your kind comments. Enclosed you will find a different version of the image from a more horizontal tryout.

not sure if that's worth to post as a separate picture ;-)

Hi Ursula,

Oben?
Die Reflexe sehen super aus.Und die Farben passen perfekt.Sehr schwieriges Motiv, denke ich..;)
Viele Grüsse,Ursula

Dear Antonio,

thanks for your critics. In fact, the sky is not grainy but kind of weird. this comes from multiplying layers. the original image doesn't have any visible sky at all. ;-)

I know that sky and water doesn't fit perfectly together but that's part of my composing. The water itself has lots more detail as the whole sky is reflected within the water ;-)

Cheers, Thilo

Antonio Trincone   {K:23167} 6/29/2004
the brilliant water reflections does not couple well with grainy sky and this detracts a bit; interesting architectural example though
