Pleasing 'bales and bales' summer view. For someone who is into PS, I am surprised that you didn't remove the electric posts !!!!.

Hi Chris, So many wonderful pics. Its always a pleasure to visit your portifolio. I have been very busy lately. I am learning Scuba diving for underwater photography. Hopefuly I will be able to post some of my underwater images soon.

Regards,
ken.

Great shot Chris, love the format you have presented it in and the rainbow is the icing on the cake. (Grin) at your joke. I read a quote the one the other day that you might like.
"In the beginning there was nothing, and then God created light. Afterwards there was still nothing, but we could see it better!"
- Ellen Degeneris

Best wishes - Neil

Hi Chris, nice lighting and composition with the main bale on the third line. One on the right is just half in/out which is a shame.

Good work overall though

Hi Chris, that's an unusual sight for early summer! Apart from the power lines in the background, a truely amazing shot, with the hint at the rainbow and the ominous lighting. Great job... Even a gust of wind, if I'm not mistaken...) Beautiful!

Cheers,

Hguo

Sure was, Linn ~ but just a very faint one unfortunately.
Anyway, I'll be back later ~ just off for my 'Fun Band' practice now. Go play a bit of rock'n'roll!
I'll check your uploads out later?

Love the tones of the bales and grass. Is that a rainbow that I see?

Good spot, Barry, but you're not quite right?
I actually darkened the sky that was already there, but must have made a not-so-good job of my selection as I've obviously caught the edges of the trees!
Kind regards, Chris

Ah, you can't beat a few bales. Nice composition but it looks like you've applied a different sky judging by the bright patches around the trees. Have you tried applying a warm-up filter in PS? It might add that touch of evening sun that I always think of (for some reason) when I see bales like this. Just an idea, it might not work!

We are on our second cutting here in Illinois. Always a nice easy to look at countryside view when the bales are stacked or rolled. Love the Brit countryside. Wonderful light and well, ya canna go wrong with a rural photo in my eyes.
