Thilo, I actually like the touched up image better. I have similar shots, but I really think the old-timey look plays well in this photo.

This was just an experiment, as you mentioned. I'm not sure at all if I like the outcome more than the original one but such projects keeps me working with PS. =)

Hi Thilo, interesting experiment. IMO, a bit too heavy on the PS to truely value the photo, but it does work on my imagination. Main reasons why I find the PS job too heavy are the rather harsh vignetting (a tad too opaque and no aparent feathering) and also the black spots in the photo... Obviously a personal thing, but I like the original one better. Still, I do like your experments. Keep it up!

Hi Thilo,da kannst Du sicher auch nicht mehr rekonstruieren,wieviele Schritte das waren? Obwohl..da gibts doch den Pfad.. ;)Da kann man sich stundenlang austoben...und dann ist das Original doch besser...;)
Hier find ich das Original schöner.Wo hast Du denn den old movie Filter gefunden?
Ich hab beschlossen,doch wieder mehr zur Natur zurückzukehren ;-)

Du hast natürlich recht: Es ist vom Empire State Building aus aufgenommen. Mir war das Original nur etwas zu unspannend, deshalb meine Photoshop-Exzesse.
