About Straight shot. No Photoshop.

Baby oil, a gorgeous body, the right lighting and a great camera make it happen...

I guess I helped just a little bit myself :-P

I really like her belly, as far as the model is concerned. As far as the shot is concerned, only this I would like to see would be more of her face. Good abs...I mean..job!

Ah, the toils of photography...

Your shots are great though P (mind if I call you P?) I wish I had a stash of models like that then I could set to work on some boring shots myself. That is once I had mastered lighting, backdrops, exposure and pretty much all the rest of the higher photographic knowledges you display regularly.

Just remember, "Everybody wants to rule the world"

Cheers!

I found this picture to be very educational. Your models are always beautiful and your skills exceptional. At first glance, I thought it was a nice shot. After reading the commentary, I found it to be very educational. Thanks, Brian

Nope. you're '84 ?

ppdix  ppdix     {K:17069} 6/20/2004
Well... Little Eva's Locomotion is from 62. Or maybe it is Kylie Minogue's 80's version... Or Fancy's version in the 90's...

Now Benny and the Jets... Early 70's Elton John.

The way we were... I assume its Barbra.. 1974 or so.

So I would say you are about 45. Am I close?

I forgot one thing. The highlights are intentional. I added baby oil on her skin to make it even more reflective. I know there is some over exposure on her white top. As we all know, white is just a pain in the ass to photograph. As far as the shadows on her face. I like them like that. I wanted the viewer to focus on her face to "find" details and make contact with her eyes, hidden behind the hair...
Sometimes photos need to be observed, not just glanced at. A quick top to bottom "scan" is what most of us do at first but then it is great to find details and try to capture what the photographer really wants you to show. It's a feeling, not an analysis...

Cheers

Holy thighs! She is a real stunner. Very good, very sexy.

I agree with Q as to the blown highlights, and there are also some harsh shadows on her face (especially eyes, wich look dark), and that hair covering her pretty pouting mouth.

Overall, however, all these things combine to make a good shot, with good mood. Her boyfriend will love pinning up on the wall (and it will ruin him :)

As regards, the "boring" comments... it's ok not to like a photo. It's also ok to say you don't like it (even if you can't do better yourself)... provided you explain WHY you don't like it.

To just say "boring" is infantile.

p.s. Italiano, Español, English, Português... Is there a language ppdix does not speak? :-)

Doubt you needed to be rescued. I'm just not in the mood to read juvenile comments tonight.

One more thing Q. I really like your comment.
The lighting, the baby oil, the make up, the clothes, the cozyness of my studio and the connection between her and I, made Chere felt as beautiful and sexy as she is. She couldn't believe how gorgeous she looked when we were looking at the pictures... I guess not a lot of people get a chance to see themselves under all these circumstances and when everything "works" in their favor. This is not an everyday photo and everybody should experience the feeling of seeing themselves under a different light at least once in their life. I am glad I was able to give her that. She certainly deserves it after all the sacrifices she's made in the past few months.

Well thanx for coming to my resQ... Q

It's actually 5 months not 4 weeks...

Hey, I would suggest u stick around and check my next upload... U won't regret it.

Q Zhang   {K:3946} 6/20/2004
Most fashion photos are boring on the surface. Hot chick in cool clothes in some contrived pose. What is never boring is the subtle control of lighting and materials, the communication and understanding established between model and photographer, the artistry of the makeup artist, and the confidence of the model and photographer to capture this image. Get a life, Dennis, and stop calling people "pphead".

Having said that, the right side seems a bit too bright. This doesn't seem to pop as the first Chere photo. Finally, holly cow 4 weeks !! What program is she on ? -QZ

Obrigado Martinha...

Eu odeio quando a gente não têm nada bom que dizer sobre uma imagem porque não têm a habilidade para fazer uma critica inteligente...

I agree there would be no photography, without the photographer. Although, let us not take our position for granted. There would be no for photography without our glorious subjects.... Skål (I raise my glass to you) ... tc

gino

who finds boring a perfect body exhibited with pride in front of the objective of a fanciful able professional as you has to have some problems... perhaps of loneliness... or of sight...
I see a big beautiful woman of the great colors and 8,2 million megapixell from I unpack
your usual class in study 7+++

BTW... Technically okay? Nice talking about technique... Hmmm I expected the comment to come from someone with years of technical mastery but on your portfolio all I found is snapshots that a baby with a polaroid disposable camera can take...

I'm the one that is sorry...
