The sky is very saturated and likely due to use of a blue sky filter. This becomes more apparent with the color shift in the hills as you move up higher in the image. I really like this vantage point, but I don't think the palm tree is really lending itself to the image very well. It seems to block the view more than accentuate it. It's alway tough making due with such obstacles. Catalina is so picturesque. I hope you took a lot of pictures!
