About Here's an image I took last evening with my on loan Dimage. I selected the sky and added a grad filter using the 'colour' blend mode.
I hope you like it!
Kind regards, Chris

Hi Chris,Wonderful image,I am a sucker for isolated trees in the land scape and one with a swing is a REAL bonus, you have captured the scene perfectly, also mine a fine job of shortening the rope. Cheers Micky.

Hi Chris, I find the colours in this photo fantastic! Great shot! It could need a tad more sky under the swing, though. IMO, it would emphasise it a bit more, as it is a very strong element in this shot. The swing adds an unexpected element. I find the frame a bit intrusive. The gradient and colours are a good choice, but I think I would make it a bit smaller. Thanks for the explanation on what you did with the sky, very interesting!

Cheers,

Hugo

Very beautiful and artistic composition! Yes, probably better with swing higher up, although I loved it as it was even before I saw your second image. Amazing colourtones too! Wonderful, Chris!

Very nice silhouette, Chris. And yes, the revised version fixes the only obvious flaw!

Well Mr Spracklen, seems you did NOT have to settle for what you got! :-)) Great "hoisting" of the swing.

I laughed so much at John's comment! :-))

Yeah, I'm right with you guys on the swing thing! Unfortuately the hill on which this tree sits is at the top end of a private field. Having 'trespassed' a little already, (walking a few yards into the field to get as good a view as possible), I didn't think I better climb the hill, hoist up the swing, then return to take my photo. Sometimes you just just gotta settle for what you can get!!
Thanks for the comments!
Kind regards, Chris
P.S. A pretty inconsiderate farmer, if you ask me, letting his swing hang so low to the ground!!

Stunning silhouette. Maginificent sky tones.

I do agree with John though - would also like to see more space between the bottom of the swing and the ridge.

Excellent frame - love how you reversed the colours!

Very very pleasing image Mr Spracklen! I am tickled pink (oops! Did I really say that?!?! ) to see that your "loaner" is a DiMage :-))
