Anne, No, I've not been there. I live just slightly north of Los Angeles so it's not a hop skip and a jump. I want to see some of the other National Parks, my goal is at least two a year. I'm going to Kauai in a couple of weeks.
I don't live very close--about 3 1/2 hours away on the Pacific Coast south of San Francisco. I love going up as often as possible, at least before and after tourist season! This was my last trip until the fall. I managed to get up this year the week after they opened the road through Tuolomne, it was so spectacular, and not many people were around, so even better for me! April is a great time to go, except that the road are almost always still closed then. Have you ever been to Hetch Hetchy? It's really beautiful and open all year.
Thanks Anne. do you live need Yosemite? The image was taken from the valley. We were there in April and some of the roards were still closed. I love it there.
This is a lovely view of the Merced--I can almost hear the water rushing. Was this taken in the Valley or at Wawona? I was up in Tuolomne a few days ago -- this place takes my breath away every time I visit!
I actually looked at your portfolio because you mentioned in a comment to someone else that you had posted some Yosemite photos, then started looking at your other work as well--it's good work.
