About A shot of Vicar Lane in Leeds, taken from outside the Sony shop and Fox's Music on BNank holiday monday when the sun was still pretty bright.

Decided to break out all the reds from this one - so selected them all, created new layer and masked aout all but the reds. Then just monochromed (is that a verb - "to monochrome"???) the background layer to leave all the bricks and red things showing in colour.

thought about cloning out some of the lamp posts too - but couldn't decide whether to leave it more authentic (as it is) or not.

What do you think?

This is one of your wonderful photos I have not yet commented on and it's really something! Bustling and quiet at the same time.
Thanks for your warm comment on my "Muticolored reflection."
Regards,
Rafi

hello Ade.
As I am still leaning every day more about ps,I did not know about Ctrl+T,very interesting.Thanks.
I just tried with image rotate on free layer and turned the building straight, and that looks better to me.

Thanks for your kind comments on the Leeds shot Guido.

You#re right, it a bit wonky on the left isn't it? I was using an 18mm lens at the time so probably explains it.

I think the way I'd cure that would be to do a Skew or Shear transformation (CTRL+T) and drag the top left over a little. It's effective if it's a little out, but nothing too severe.

Cheers

Ade
