Very open feeling, lots of depth, and free. I've done frame tilts like this, but hadn't the guts to show it. There's a strong visual interaction between the two that I like. And the background is very appealing.

I can't exactly remember what the shard would have looked like, even though in '99 I did have a long look at a scale model of the Fed square site - must've been too drunk at the time !
Anyway I reckon the project has been a success overall, it works as a city square in a way that the one at the corner of Swanston & Collins never did. Great location for photography too !

Good street photo and lighting, I feel a bit home sick looking at a very familiar sight to me. Mind you your shot would have been different if the so called "Shard" had have been built - I was actually for it's construction as it would have balanced the axis of Federation Square.
