Thank you Luke . . . this one was taken for the sweetest and most beautiful woman alive . . . she brought the plant to me now three years ago, and it blooms so wonderfully every year . . . she is heaven on earth . . . and this flower keeps proving it . . . this year it bloomed again . . . as beautiful as she is . . .

When I look at this I know why Georgia O'Keefe was fascinated with flowers and their innards. This curving luscious color mass is extremely sensuous in design and style. The color complements the shape and is pleasing to the eyes.

Thanks Dina, I took this one (and most of the others in my portfolio), for my Sweet One, without a doubt the most incredible woman alive . . . and who also happens to love flowers . . . I've been out of the usefilm "posting" loop for quite a while, but I look often and find it a very stimulating and relaxing site . . .

Back to this one Steven. I rated it a 7 before - but it is really a 10. I could stare at it forever... gorgeous.

wonderful shot! i often shot vertical and decide to print and display my photograph exactly as i took them. i'm not sure if you took this photograph vertical or horizantal, but it makes me want to go back and look at all of my photographs of flowers and see if changing the orientation of them would create a more interesting photograph. thanks for the new perspective and for sharing!

back to this one again..... I am glad you didn't desaturate it. For some reason, it might seem symbolic of your relationship with your "sweet one" and you both sound like a colorful pair from what i am gathering. I agree the flower should be left this way. It is stunning beyond words. Again, GREAT job.

Thanks Charisse . . . this lily is from a plant that was a gift from my Sweet One two years ago, and it blooms a slightly different color each year . . . keeps getting more and more pink for reasons only it knows. I tried a desaturated version, and though the form was beautiful, I missed the color too much.
