From the Train series - for me this one is loaded - it takes real time to see whats going on in this one .. i'm still amazed that this 2 dimentional object (the photograph) can make me feel like i'm re-focusing from elements like the man in this frame to the reflected building (a window and roof) in the mid upper right section of the frame .. the eye toggels back and forth between the two (and other elements) like it does in real life - so many layers happen this way - what's in front (everything really) what's behind - what's from a reflection ... so much happens ...
Thanks for your comment and let me found your photos. I really love all works of your portfolio. and I like your said:" if only by our intuition". Congrats your talented works, maleonn.

ohmigod, you have a Voigtlander, i am so attracted to those cameras! i've always been a digi-chick but was gently and persistently persuaded to get into film so i did some heavy thinking for a few months and decided on a Leica p&s for the street in April. But i'm still fascinated by the Voigtlander. How do you like it? It looks like it makes delectable images if this is a typical example.
ok, so now the image, sorry to go off on the camera so much..yeah, i feel like i'm sitting there, with my temple against the glass, trying to focus the moving image. It almost doesn't matter what's in the image, it's the process of movement that's working here. There is gorgeous richness of tonal range here. i like the bright edge of the man's arm. i love the warmth of the sunlight on the bricks, i like the smooth silky lighting fixture in the ceiling of the train car(no, it's not that i'm so crazy about light fixtures, it's just that the two images i've seen of yours had nice ones), and mostly, i love the shadows. Best to you, John, kat~
