Really nice Post process.
Congrats to it.
I think the composition could be better if your friend would be on the right side and the empty space is in front of him as a standard portrait.
Or open a bit wider and increase the empty spaces a bit, keep him at the left side, but increase the space in front of him to, to indicate he lives in other kind of lightless word.
But it is Great work Congrats.

Superb! In this pic however, I wish it'd had the original color since the tonality looks good (maybe it isn't?) and the color now does look painted on. But the contents are very nice!
