yep it was iso 400,when i seen your comment i had a look.forgot i left it on that, as it is on manual all of the time,i wondered why it wasnt as good as it should have been. cheers for that comment richard ,ill keep on learning by my mistakes.
Well, I think the exposure is right on, with detail in the highlights and a subdued background. I don't think it is as crisp and sharply focused (or has sufficient dof)as it might be and 1/2000 would guaranty that motion blur was not a factor. Come to think of it, at the exposure indicated you must have had a four-digit ISO!
