Christine, thank you for your kind comment on this photo. I saw these two and never having seen them before, just had to get a photo! I wan't real pleased with the end result, would have liked a bit more detail and clarity, but at least you can tell what it is you are looking at :)

I have never seen a moth look so beautiful, you know interestingly enough many moths in caterpillar stage are more beautiful than butterflies in that stage yet they turn out so differently. Lovely delicate capture ...Christine

I tried to do that very thing, but I got way too much compression and those white shadows which look like I over unsharp masked the image. Your version came out much better. Thanks so much!! Oh, and yes there were two, but I didn't want to take too long as they tend to flee rather quickly.

Is that another moth just like this one on the upper bloom? Very interesting looking moth and well captured. But, may I suggest the following crop to bring the moth into closer view? I hope you don't mind?
