I find that using a polarizer helps a great deal when shooting ice and snow. (At least with film cameras have not tried with my digital yet).
My Italian is far worse then your english :)

not there is not use of polarizer in this image
and not there is no digital elaboration them, this is one photo on film that then I have digitized with scanner,

I particularly like this shot, Diego. The vapour trails in the sky add balance and give the building more predominance.
