Wow! Magnificent color, composition and style. I went to TX to find a patch of bluebonnets and/or indian paint brush(April 99)but came home empty handed. Next time I'll know who to call for directions!

Thanks Carol! It's a beauty!. I keep meaning to photograph the bluebonnets but don't have one pic in 7 years here. Must go do it! Sandy was a great discovery. :) Hugs!

Such a beautiful photo. A perfect shot of the dog, with a spectacular setting. Did you get down low to take this? I like the perspective!

This is beautifully composed; I like the central placement of Sandy that you chose.
I was just in the Hill country and my shots did not turn out as well. I was working with a lens that I do not normally use, and I totally underestimated my ability to hold the camera still.
This is a nice image that will certainly appeal to Texans as well as others who are not familiar with our state flower. There is one small nit: it appears to have a saturation increase that does not look real. Bluebonnets have a special blue all their own. Too much blue can make it look colorful but not blubonnety.
However, if you were trying to achieve something surreal on purpose, then kindly ignore my comment!
And you are right, springtime in Texas...what dreams are made of!

This is absolutely stunning from the beautiful blue and mauve sky, the glorious field of bluebonnets to the adorable pup on point. Just spectacular.
