sony, a very nice night shot. i think it could be improved by waiting for the skytrain to come along and include that in your photo.
as for lori's comment on the lack of lights, the reason may well be that after the financial crash of 1998, a lot of buildings under construction in bangkok just never got finished. only now, after some years of sitting incomplete and empty are some of them coming back to life in one way or another.

Dear Sony, I like your picture very much and I have read on the other comments about the problems it has . I think that the general composition is excellent, but you should have taken it earlier, when all the lights of the buildings were turned on ( I do not know, perhaps you took it one sunday). Then, you would have had more lights in dark zones and, consequently, you would?ve needed less shutter time. Try making a selection on the strong lights and reduce them with Photoshop. Then apply general contrast.
Let me reccomend you two incredible pictures of nigth cityscapes. Look the pic ?Night? by Edmond Lisy and ?The Sleepless? by iNNOCENt (he writes his nickname in this odd way, jaja). You can find them in Cityscapes Category or in their portfolios. I?m sure you?ll like them. Miguel

Hi guys! Thanks for the comment. Well, same as Lori, I wonder how to remove the glares? I try to do with CP filter and somehow it works OK, but, guess this one is depends on the lens, somehow I can't manage to prevent the blue blot caused by bright light on the side. Guess, it has to be the work of Photoshop again ha? About these photos, actually I wished I could send in both, but I'm not a donor (tryin' to but I can't, guess there's something wrong with credit card from Indonesia :) )Dan, Stephen, thanks for the advice. I'm still working on mastering this Photoshop. Taking off the vignetting part is easy, the hardest one is to blend it in so as to make the picture looks natural.... Thanks!

as usual both of these night images are awesome. I'd have to say i like the second one better becuase it has more color and detail, and as early stated it shouldn't be to hard to fix the vignetting.

Hi Sony,
I also like the lights of the city! I like this darker better then the lighter one. I'm just trying to figure out how best to keep bright glares to a minimum. I'm sure no expert in this area, smaller aperture? Less time...or work on them in PS, but there must be a better solution... A polarizer for glare??? (but then you would need a longer exposure time) DON'T KNOW WHAT THE ANSWER IS ON THIS...sure somone else must know.
Isn't it strange that the tall building on the right side hardly has any lights lit. (what kind of building is it?) And nothing on top of the building. Here in San Diego, so many of the buildings have lights on top of them. Maybe in Thailand they are wiser about electricity!! :)
Very nice image, Lori :)

Hi Sony, It is more colourful but you should still be able to use Photoshop to take out the vignetting from the filter without too much trouble.

Thank you Stephen. Btw, I took this picture (one I attach here) couple of hours earlier. Guess it's a little bit more colourful, just that I attach the CP filter wrong you can see the vignetting on top corner (pity :( )
