Joann, I got one similar to yours. Mine was taken in Sabah when My family had vacation there. It was also during the sunset. I actually got one shot against the sunlight, but the bird was blurred. Anyway are the birds same? I like yours better, which has more impact when viewing. Thanks for your comment on "no easy job" picture. --Eric

Cliff- No offense taken at all- quite the contrary- I am like a sponge soaking up knowledge at this point of my life. Thanks for your willingness to expand my vocabulary! BTW- Just so it doesn't look like I have so many comments, when reality is that most of them are between us- please feel free to email me at shinenlite@aol.com anytime.

Hi again Joann Hope I didn't sound patronising in my last reply. If I did it was totally unintentional. Regards..................Cliff

Hi Joann. Don't feel so, there was a time when I didn't know either. It's a term when a photograph is taken directly against the light source or very close to it. If your looking for it on the net try contre-jour. Again I have to say this is a beautiful image. Kindest regards to you Cliff

Thanks for posting your comment on my Dinner Hour photo Forgive my ignorance, but what does "contrejour" mean? I looked it up in the dictionary but it wasn't there. Is that the kind of bird it is or a descriptive word for the image? (I feel so ignorant at this very moment) Blessings to you and yours.
