While the stairs help to balance out the horizontal elements with the vertical, I really like the tones of the wood door in the other photo. Still very nice, though.

Yes, the perspective was controlled in PS.The steps are dark and as you can see they are made from a darker material than the rest of the building as they are in the same light. I have a couple more views of them that will be posted soon.

Do you mean you controlled the perspective in PS in post processing? The lower steps are a bit dark, but this actually helps keep the eye moving upward. This is a wonderful composition. You sure have a terrific eye for composition, light, and colour. Excellent.

This does have very nice leading lines. Great sharp photo. The dark steps contrast very nicely with the pink building. Don.
