Hi. I really like this shot. I'm fairly new to usefilm, but... after reading the comments, I just want to add my 2 cents. When I see a pic that is really dark, detail unknown, sometimes it can be helped by lightening it up. After all, that is frequently what you saw with your eye, and when you brighten it, the detail is there, so you aren't really altering what the camera saw - just bringing it out. Some photos look better without the help - and this one, for instance, does show all the detail - and brightening isn't desirable or necessary. But, if you are looking thru a microscope and it is too dark to see detail - you turn up the brightness! (Should I talk this much in comments, or should I save it for a forum?)

Great shot! I like your attitude of not altering your photos beyond recognition! :) People often try to get us to alter our photos, and it can be frustrating at times. Carolyn

Yup thats the point - to me anyway! No massive PS input I prefer to take photos as they are seen. Just my POV, I take a lot of images in my work where I am trying to capture what I see (down the microscope) so its de riguer NOT to mess with an image. PS makes some great ART but it is a different milieu

intresting shot... but parts of the subject are so dark that the details are washed out
