The big sky beckons
Every eye to look upon
To search through darkened clouds
And find the light beyond
The big sky wraps around
The world like a glove
It's everywhere we look
It's always up above
The big sky sometimes smiles
And sometimes it does cry
Its beautiful, its ugly
And always passing by
The big sky reaches out
But never touches ground
It's eerily silent
And easily found
The big sky up above us
Can make us run inside
its thunder makes us jump
its lightning makes us hide
The big sky helps us dream
It cannot be ignored
Its gentle as a pillow
As lethal as a sword
The big sky is just awesome
Without it there would be
No sunrise to behold
Only emptiness to see.....
