Very nice character?s portrait! B&W is perfect here since there many elements that could distract a little... but I love colors, I?d to know the original one.. Best regards, Carmem

Great subject, well captured. I know it's deliberate, but why do you set the black level so high? You could still have the same contrast range without having the shadow areas clumped. Rog, this is not an attempt to criticize indirectly--I like the way it looks right now--but I'd like to understand the thinking, 'cos I don't get it and I'm eager to learn. (When I have the B&W version of my "Park Bench" shot uploaded, would value your opinion of it.)

I agree, Roger and.... the fake nose suits him perfectly (I hope he isn't one of your friend!!!) Another great character well seen and well captured. He looks worried or annoyed. Did he tell him he's been telling a few fibs? Beautiful sharp shot, great DOG. Love the toning. Love - Emgy p.s. How do you like the 28 -135mm Is USM? I bought one last week , together with a Canon 100 mm Macro and I love it! A very easy all round lens, sharp and small in size. I'm getting a little crazy about the 100mm Macro lens. Very difficult to use it wihout a tripod or tripod ring. Hope I'll get used to it. Only lens I need now is a 70-200L or a 75-300 IS. Not decided yet which of the two. Best shooting!

You are as usual all AngloSaksians confusing Dutch with Deutsch, you mean he has a German accent in front of German Beerstube, not Dutch. Friendly greetings Rob.

You had better called it the Ring. Excellent shot Roger, your photos confirm a stigma, down under are weirdos too, I thought we only got them overhere. Regards, Rob.

YIKES! Great shot. Love the contrast, the shallow DOF..but this guy is NOT PRETTY at all! lol A few fibs??? maybe more than Pinnochio, cuz his nose is crooked and has a WART! OK.. I'm all through laughing now.. Thanks for the kind comment on mine.
