If I commented on all of your photos, I would just be repeating myself constantly: "This is fantastic!" I can't let this opportunity go by though - I love bees and your talent distills the very essence of the object in your lens.

As Telmo says, definitely worth an "8".

For this one there should be a "8" in the rating scale... This one reaches perfection in everyways... The use of DOF is perfect... Bluring the back and foregroung you avoided the "flatness" of the narrow focus zone... Perfect... Just perfect...

Great dof and excellent colours and lighting!! You might consider a tighter crop from the bottom to take away the blurred bud in front of the flower; but that's just my point of view. A great capture anyway!! Regards *

wonderful capture, I really like how the bee is suspended in front of the flower, as most shots like this only show insects on the flower.

Barry, that was worth waiting for. The soft background is so wonderful and allows the bee to really stand out. My compliments on a great photo. Lou

Dear Barry, this is an outstanding shot. I like the DOF (based on your lens and shutter speed) against this beautiful background. Great work.

Nothing better than bluebonnets!
I hope to make a bluebonnet sojourn to the Hill country in a couple of weeks, hopefully not too late to see some.
This is wonderful, the bee is captured at just the right moment. I have heard lovely things about that lens...can you tell me how far away you were from the flower?
Thanks.
