This is an OUTSTANDING portrait of flowers. Perfect lighting conditions and exposure (metering of the light). Composition, colors and framing make this a great presentation in the "creative flower" project. A sure winner in any floral picture competition.

Really really! Nice lighting. Natural diffused sunlight is the best, I think. Sometimes I use a silver or white reflector(paper),but so weak light subordinately!

Wow! Your patience truly paid off! The combination of sharpness, and softness makes this magnificent! the depth of field is VERY pleasing, as is the saturation on this image. My eye is wishing for the flowers to be set to the right, and more of the rich colored, out of focus background on the left. There isn't anything at all wrong with your current balance here - just my own personal preference I suppose. This is just lovely!
I stopped by after reading such a wonderful comment on my self portrait this evening- I don't know that is was courage that compelled me to take, and then post that image.(clothed or unclothed, this was a journey that was difficult to begin)
I know not what I do most of the time! It was a very personal journey to begin to paint again - a struggle, but one I would NOT let beat me. I won! I began to paint again, and continue to do so! Truth be told, that first painting I completed, sold before the paint dried! I kid you not! The canvas was my first love - but using an analogy - it was like my first crush, and photography/film is the real thing, baby! I am in LOVE with the art of photography, but grateful for the discipline of composition and balance that my paints taught me!

Excellent exposure, very close to a max in the highlights, but just behind overexposure. This brings light and freshness into the the composition. The contrast in tones between the main subject and the background is excellent, with a shallow DOF that keeps the background soft as it should. On could have asked though that the two flowers be sharp.

Yes lighting does make an image. I don't shot much indoors but when I do I use a slow shutter speed and natural or low back lighting I let the lens bring out the contrast and details and that seems to work best for me. This well done and I like this image.

Thanks for your comment to "Princesa do Alva". It's a beautiful place, that is why is called "Princess". Yes we play Carnival in Portugal in many places some of them very famous. It was worth all the hazzle you had to go through, Diana! Because this photo is just so very very beautiful! It would have lost so much of this beautiful feeling if you had to use flash. Now the light is dreamlike, and colours so beautiful! Also the whole composition is superb!
