I love shots like this, and I am most impressed with the sharpness and the tonal balance of this photo. I have a Nikon 4300 (very similar to the 800), that I use for hiking and mountain biking. It never fails to impress. Soon I will post some of my shots of decaying buildings and old cars, and I look forward to your comments.

Excellent b/w.. It's like a recording of a point in time..
Old building and structures are great photo subjects. And, the large barren tree in you photo was well used ....

Very nice! Abandoned and decaying, but not really depressing in this case - I guess because it still looks neat and 'cared for' in a way. Interesting that the old tree looks like it died right along with the house, as though somehow linked to it's fate!
