About At this time of the year, the weather is often totally cloudy and the sun disappears for days on end. There is a lack of colour in one's images and converting to B&W can turn a dull shot into something acceptable when hardly any change has taken place. When the sun comes out, an amazing change is enjoyed and colour comes back. This was one of those periods.
