to all on this last february sunday,
thank you for all your kind comments and ideas. perhaps i should have given you the explanation for the blank nose of this guy. it is the left one guarding the entrance of the royal residence in munich/germany. and the people there have made it a habit to rub the nose of the two guys for good luck when they are passing by.
i often tried to post myself close by for a capture of somebody passing and rubbing the nose of one lion without even looking. but unfortunately i never had enough patience.
