Hi Roger, beautiful photo as are all (most ;-)) of your people photos! I really enjoy looking at them. The saying goes "if it moves...shoot it" well, i'm just not good at people photography, people move and i take too long trying to study what angle etc. Most of my work is landscape and things that don't move... i find it easier, but....i really enjoy your work, especially the B&W. it has the look of some of those older french films. Congrats from Switzerland, Neil

Oh no... he is farting in a pub! :-O Hihi... I'm so sorry, I just couldn't resist joking about this very unusual face expression! Hope you don't mind!
I really find this photo excellent! I love the contrast and DOF, and perfect focus on him! I'm really curious why he has that face expression, but I guess I will never know.

Ummmm. What shall I say, Roger? This one makes me feel a bit better about my chances. [grin] The chair is in the way, rather distracting. The figure (hairline particularly) is not differentiated from the background, and the contrast--on my monitor anyway--is over the top. Oh, and the background, while nicely out of focus, is still pretty distracting in itself. The expression looks as if someone on the Australian test team has just dropped an easy catch! (It's a great capture of an unusual expression--the best thing in the whole portrait!)
