I like this type of still life.

I really like these kinds of images. Especially ones that are even more abstract. The textures, differences (metal chain/lock, weathered wood), and worn. Looks like this door's been around for a while. Of course, maybe this was taken at a beach house in Carmel, and it's only taken a year to look like this. In any case, it's the kind of image I'd like to have on my wall.

Great texture and color Bill. I love the composition too. Very nice, these kind of images really appeal to me.

congradulations on getting this up Bill....
really good light and textures here....this image is begging for a symmetrical frame as everything else is symmetrical about it...suggest mini crop on the right...to center and balance the symmetry...really nice image...

Debbie,

Not sure what you mean by a digital thingy? :-]

My Olympus digital camera is about $1,400 with lenses and the Canon is about $3,000 without lenses. Expensive thingys.

True color is an oxymoron. I've just started reading about color managment - matching the colors your camera captures to your monitor to the printer - all different. But who cares, as long as it produces a pleasing image.

Color matching/management really matters when you are trying to print something professionally and you want on paper something that comes close to the image you see on your monitor. That is a complex and complicated challenge.

Anyway, thanks for the positive comments on my photos.

I've noticed alot of digital camera pics come out with really nice colors (true colors). I'm not at all familiar with them, as I just purchased a canon elan 7. I see you can shoot different shutters and aps. I noticed your pic taken with the canon digital..it was true to color as well. I've heard the digital (whaddya call it?) thingy that captures the picture is pretty expensive. I really like the pics taken with the Olympus and Canon tho.
