oi like the top face, i think the bottom two are much weaker, they way the boys eyes are squinted, maybe keep the bottom and top and replace the middle image with a different angle and the boy looking more towards the lense. I just think you need 3 strong distinct looks, as it is now the two below are to similar and not as appealing as the top. I have no problem w/the exposure or the black background, perfect subject to experiment with, good luck.

If you want more dramatic protraits you should try black and white once. But first of all i think you should make the pictures with a light background, not black! I see you made this three digital, if you got photoshop and don't know how you can do them black and white, ask me. Else i start explaining now but then you already know how you can do that :P!
