About In this shot I'm really interested in what you see! If you only see a thorn, or also something else.

Personally I see a "man" (on left side)lit up by the sun as he is carrying the heavy "thorn". If I'm the only one seeing that I guess I need to find a shrink! ;-)

Great shot. I do see what looks to be a man. I have a few pics with what appears to be people in the background. Have a look at this one and let me know if you see a man in the tree with a hat and trench coat. There could even be a lady on the other side looking around at him..... http://www.usefilm.com/image/313190.html

This capture is a very good piece of work, the clarity is appropriate, the tones excellent, as is the way you composed it, with that to the point title, I felt that AMEN sumed it up best, a capture, reflecting the title completely. The scores that I gave were 7 s, across the board, very good work.

The imagination is the one of the greatest thing like love. I don't think you need a shrink :-))). OK maybe you need a little therapy like reading Bilbo Bagins adventure.

Excellent picture with excellent capture. I see a man too, in fact I see Hercules himself carrying out one of his assignments. You don't need a shrink at all, although a shrink would enjoy having you as his/her customer.
Thanks for you comments, Kristina. Best regards, Alex

Thanx for you're usefull comments!
I like this picture, only to bad that the "hard life" ain't in the middel of the picture. Or was that planned? Maybe it looks better a bit left or right than in the middel. I don't know. Great work.

Hi Kriss,
I see a well textured bramble shoot with a good red colour and a load of thorns. Focus and lighting are good.
Ah well you can't win them all I never did have any imagination.
Regards,
Graham.

You don't need to find a shrink! We can see that man! And this message is a lesson of life. Very well done and composed.

Thanks for all your kind comments! It's really interesting how different we "see" (imagine?) things. I have always loved to imagine things in things... like as a child, I loved looking at clouds and creating figures in the in my mind.

Max, you made me laugh loud again with your talk about cross eyes! ;-)) Perhaps future cameras will have cross-eyes functions?

But back to the man, who can become two men... I actually see that too!!!

I really like the way that you have composed this picture. Many would have put it right in the middle. Great sharpness and play of light. Well done pretty lady. Don.

I can see two men, depending how I keep my head, if you had noticed this effect before shoting, then you have an exceptional eye!!! Maybe having crossed eyes helps a lot in these situations ;)))) Just kidding!!!!! Kiss, Max :)

Lucas Macedo   {K:12843} 1/25/2004
The blurred branches on the left can surely be "seen" as a bowed person feeling the weight and pain of the thorns, Kriss! It only takes some imagination and sensibility.
Great composition and interpretation. Best regards! ..... Lucas

hehehe, i like your caption with the image. i don't see what you see, but you definitely don't need a shrink. pictures can be very personal, i have experienced that myself. i like this one, because i myself love to play with DoF! one thorn crispy sharp (photographically seen and literally!) and the others to give a sense of depth.

The sharpnes of a thorn and a branch directed diagonaly up including with the title HARD LIFE really turns me in this way of thinking!
If we add that it is great composition, DOF and most perfect background you can imagine including very powerfull colors we came to the conclusion that you made a very very good shot!
Althow I do not see the man I am sanding you
MY compliments and friendly greets.

Life is really hard, but your photo is really wonderful. I like it. This man so small, and thorn very huge, - I'd better will think it's just play of lights.
My best wishes, my friend,
Lena

Kristina; while I don't see the "man" you see, I like this a lot as a natural abstract with the colorful out of focus background. Nice shot! Cheers. Craig

I see him, Kris ~ just! I think!
Then again, I'm used to the idea of man carrying (wearing) thorns!
This one looks real nasty!
Nice macro
Have a good day!
Chris
