Fascinating macro abstract, Giannis. A great idea and so well done. Something I'd never thought of. The color, composition, and sense of movement is wonderful. Great job. To my favorites!
- Thank you for your nice compliment on my "Reach".

At first glance, I didn't realize what it was. Frankly, I think this is one of my most favorite photos I've seen. Kudos, Giannis. Kudos.

phenomenal shot! I liked it so much I played around with it in photoshop...all that I did was sharpen it a little bit.

Thanks for the detail. Might be a good note for somebody trying to do this themselves as well :-)

My friend Stefan as said above I used an 3cm extention tube and of course a glass between match and lens which stops the flames and the hot air !

Spectacular! What toy camera did you use for this?! I would be worried about having hot objects slung at the lens - did you have some sort of shield in there? Inquiring minds want to know. You found a good title as well.

I just love this shot!!!!! How did you manage to measure the light properly??? I imagine such short lived events are very difficult to get a reading on!

I thought at first it was a sensual macro of the inside of a flower... but no, I open the image and see a big flash! Pyromaniacs please don't try this at home... Brilliant colours well done Giannis :)

It's difficult because when the match is lighting up nearly the whole head catches fire very fast (This one was selected among 50 successful shots)!
