dear jon,
this shows clearly why most of us would not have seen them. they just melt into their surrounding. very well found, seen and captured. how poor that the light is not always how we like it.
thank you very much for your comment on 'the past in the shadow'. there is some room for improvement on this. there will be other versions coming up. this was just to start walking by for the light and colour contrast.

PS, yes i got a new SLR cam ;) I will start to post things about Arab culture and life before oil discovery , i hope you will enjoy it like the Arabian boat ;), cuz it is the shopping festival here in Dubai and they are showing old thing for us new generation ...i will post some old architecture too...have a nice weekend

It's not easy to get such a nice picture of deer as this one!
