This is one of my favorite abstracts. I've viewed this photo

Hoi Emgy, wat een wereld gaat er voor je open wanner je een oude ladder eens goed bekijkt.
Op de plaats waar jij een kangeroe ziet, zie ik een zittende baviaan die naar een sterrenregen kijkt... Mijn complimenten voor de manier waarop je kleine dingen -waar anderen snel overheen kijken- tot een prachtig abstract weet te maken!

It's very like a painting by a local artist I know. She uses plaster on canvas then paints over the top so as to get texture into her paintings. But to achieve the same effect with a photograph is fantastic.

this is wonderful... I think this is the best of the series so far (of course I can't help loving one of them so much heehee). The composition and balance is great with the rusty slashes of colours in the middle and rusts at the bottom... so beautiful... and do you know what makes me laugh? It's the fat guy on the bottom right who is about to sneeze heehee, like he's got a duck feather on his nose

An entire universe in a single aluminum ladder. [sorry W.Blake!] Emgy, you should put this ladder in your will! The light is amazing, and I assume natural. And your eye for composing these small masterpieces does not falter.
ps Yes! Dutch Light is famous......quite a myth [?] about it among artists once.
