This is really great, the composition is so strange - it makes you want to know what is happening in this scene. Every figure is seperate and contained, each seems to be in their own worlds, and so isolated from one another. Part of the facination is created because of the way each person looks in a different direction. The viewer's eye moves around the faces, and cannot settle. Interesting comment on how people can be together, and yet so far apart at the same time. The lighting is stunning, the rich, deep black adding to the lonliness and sense of absorption.
