Hi Nicole, you're great travel photographer! This shot for me a bit wide for this title. Example below.
By the way thanks for comment, that picture from 1996, taken in Paris. Sorry for poor quality, but this was a 7 year old print which was scanned.

Roger, I use a Canon Rebel (not digital). This shot was taken with slide film but I'm not sure I recall which brand. Probably Kodak 100SW. thank you for your comment.

This one leapt out at me from among the thumbnails, Nicole. My preference is always to show the thing that caught my eye in its setting, the "context" if you like, so my shot of this would have been like yours. But I must admit the tighter crop (Sarah's) also looks good. Just a different approach. Mine leads me naturally to the panorama format and to wider angle lenses, an area where digital cameras are still at a disadvantage. You don't give details of camera, lens, and settings, which is a shame. They are of interest to so many people...

I don't really agree with Sarah's comment. I like the way the bleached out corner disappears out of the frame. It looks great with a white "passpartout". Nice Photo Regards Neil

I think this is a good shot with a lot of potential. As a suggestion, I would crop the picture much more tightly as I think the person and the sign on the left of the picture are somewhat distracting. I have attached a cropped version. I also played just a bit with the color saturation. I hope these suggetions are useful. I would be curious about the camera and lens you used. The details are great.
