Ok, friendship is important also in sad moments, but I personally find your shot a bit too sad, in the pose and expressions.
The sepia tonality is good, even if a bit dark (take the skin, for example, it looks not so natural). And last, I had put the two subjects not in the centre of the shot... these are just sincere critics to improve a pic with great potential.
