first I was going to say horizontal, but looking again the vertical one looks more dramatic-abstracty. H:)

I am thinking about entering this into a contest that deals with movement of water and icicles....
Is there a preference to the horizontal shot, as seen in the orignal, or the vertical, as seen as an attachment?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I missed this one before Kim - I do think I like the vertical attachment a little better, that ice formation literally comes to life! this is nice and sharp and such a wide range of tones here, very dramatic, kinda like a storm :)

Thanks everyone for your comments... I am in the process of trying to find more of these as they have some neat character. I was also debating whether or not to post it vertically and use the ice sculptures as a family... what do you think?

Kim, we're a little behind you here in terms of winter arriving, but it's inspiring how much you've found in your series. This one is lovely. :)

Well done, Kim. I can imagine that this must be quite a difficult undertaking. Staying dry and out of the freezing water and all the rest of it. This picture really made my day. I hope you will hunt more of these down.

Kim,
Nice shot! Really like the "pillowy" effect in the water. Nice capture but reminds me that the cold is upon us. Brrrrrr! Maybe I ought to stow-away to the tropics for the winter! Later my friend,
Russ
