Hi Donna; thank-you for the dedication-- what a pleasant surprise! Your teacher has a good eye and I agree with him (her) about this picture. I like "slice of life" photos, and what makes this one really nice-- besides the subject and composition-- is the excellent lighting in the room. Often this kind of back lit photo just turns into a silhouette with less impact and meaning. I like Carley's quiet pensive posture, and the everyday items on the tables say something about her.
