Sandy, I just visited your portfolio again and I was reminded how very original you are (witness this attractive shot)! You have a unique eye: it is really fresh and valuable. My photos are so conventional and square (even the panoramas--grin) in comparison... I'm grateful you take the time to visit them and leave comments. I really understand your doubts/reservations about female nudity, and I have the male/female nudity option turned off because of my own reservations along those lines. The human body truly is a most beautiful thing, but there's a very fine line between the enjoyment of beauty and something that is not nearly so harmless--there was one nude that made it to a general page, where I came across it, and some of the comments were quite insensitive about the possible feelings of women who might read them. Maybe this kind of comment of mine should be kept for private mail--let me have your E-mail address if you agree. Mine is roger atmark adex hyphen japan dot com.

"Please would you tell me," said Alice, a little timidly, for she was not quite sure whether it was good manners for her to speak first, "why your cat grins like that?" "It's a Cheshire cat," said the Duchess, "and that's why". "I wish you wouldn't keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly, you make one quite giddy" said Alice. "All right," said the Cat, and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone. "Well! I've often seen a cat without a grin," thought Alice; "but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in my life!"

Sandy, great shot! Wonderful exspression with girl! Interesting question: if time stood still...What then? Distinctive feature of your style - you are trying to think inside you photo. Your photos - intellectual process for you. Am I right? My best regards, Lena

This girl has a career in spooky movies ahead of her!..;) This is a striking image and I like your use of the mirror and the vignetting. Since you didn't put this into the Photoart category, I thought I could maybe comment on it as a relatively straight photographic art (I hope you don't mind). You should certainly take this with a grain of salt, but I would do two things: 1) desaturate and modify the color balance a bit (you may have purposely saturated the colors), 2) crop it differently (there's a somewhat abrupt end to the non-black part of the image on the righthand side; I'd just crop it near there). My modified version of the image would be something like what I've attached below. I hope you don't mind that I played around with it; I like it..:)
