Aiman, you have a very keen sense of color and pattern choice. Shallow DOF works on some subjects but it would not hurt if you also explore with other DOF to see if it would create a bigger impact otherwise. For this flower, I like the way you've framed it. Keep up the good work Aiman.
I do appreciate your wide prespective critic on this picture, it is one of a series of shots, all are the same, very shallow depth of field, colorful, and most of all is expressing what I want to say... form and color, artistic and trying to reach a good composition. Trying to get out of the regular flora pictures.
I've also been trying some shallow depth flower pics lately. I've a few in my portfolio. They're not easy to do, and I think some people find the lack of a large area in focus hard to take. Myself, I like the look you have here. I read an article in the EOS magazine regarding this very subject, and your picture is equally as good as some of the pics in there.
