Very interesting. I don't mind being considered impressionable and I think there's a wonderful world of possibilities at the border between photography and graphics. All ideas are made of the same illusory substance. The truth is they are all made of the stuff of dreams and none of them is real. Even 'real', unadulterated shots are manipulations of reality: clever angles, perspectives, light, they are all attempts to conceal & reveal attributes of a flowing river of life. But into the same river we cannot step twice.

There seems to be a (unofficial) school of photography whose members are addicted to a fevered overuse of dodging, burning, false colours, coffee staining and similar abuse of the medium etc that lend a surface allure to their images which impress the impressionable. I would have thought that style was a tool to reveal the subject rather than obscure it. Pushing images to the nebulous border between photography and graphics might be fun, but i can't help wondering if it is a sign of desperation, a sustitute for real ideas.

the light on the sky is very nice but the desaturation on the grass without any significance, light on the horse seems to be very poor too
