For someone that has never seen snow, this is a great rendition of its overwhelming power...
Congrats!

Well, I have a photo studio now and you can only have so much fun... You gotta pay the bills, but I think I did a pretty good job with him.
Cheers

Daniel,
If you use the Neatimage program you will be able to remove the noise from the sky. There is however a couple of other issues here with this image that need to addressed.
First thing is the snow caused you camera to meter incorrectly, the snow in this shot has an overall grey look to it. What you need to do is (with film anyway) is compensate for this when taking the shot. What needs to happen is you need to over expose the shot by 1 to 2 stops. This will lighten the snow and make it look more natural. You could also correct this in PS later.
The second thing I am seeing is there is a little too much room at the top of the image, you could crop out a bit there.
I am attaching a copy of the image that I touched up in Photoshop and Neatimage. I used the levels tool and the curves to even out the image.

Daniel, this is a really cool shot! We'll get our share of snow soon I'm sure but this is a very interesing image to look at. In PS you can select the sky using selection tools with some feathering, then just a little bit of Filters/Blur/Gaussian blur (many other things but why complicate it)...since you asked. Mark

Great shot! It's an unusual treatment of an object normally seen and used in the summer. An example of using what some would consider poor conditions to make a beautiful scene.

Actually this image needs some color correction pretty badly. The brief glimpse of wood at the base of the tower is way off in color. The attached file has had the contrast adjusted and the levels automatically adjusted in Photoshop. A manual levels adjustment might go farther. Extremely cool image. No pun intended :)
