I call thid Rhododendron Pride and Joy because I grew it myself from seed, waited 8yrs for first flowers, now in its third flowering year, the seedlings are all the same colour but differ in form, this is my favourite being quite frilly. Thanks for looking.
This is truly excellent Micky, and even more meaningful because you grew them yourself. I can only imagine how difficult that must be as we have Rhododendrons here in Oregon, and they mostly spread via rootstocks rather than seed. You did a really nice job photographing them too. A big congratulations! Cheers. Craig
Hi, Micky! My congratulation! Really, You can "Pride and Joy"! I think, it can be understanding only by man, who grew plant(especially Rhododendron) himself from seed! Beautiful and tender, Exacting on caring and not forgiving mistakes!!! Ok, about picture! Splendid! I admire your technique of shooting, I think, it's faultless and excellent! Such perfect clarity! About lighting, the special words: It's such successful, can see the form and such gentle, soft colours! Wonderfully! Great composition, in my opinion! At whole, I don't agree with John, especially in rates! About right side, why NOT! It's almost diagonal composition! For more balance, can be shadow left bottom bloom or it can be made by the some special frame! But I think it isn't necessary! to my favorites... My best wishes! Alexey
