Thanks Ronnie. Actually I go by the rule of sixteenths. The horizon is exactly 6/16 of the frame. Its the new thing!

Nice one, taken in what appears to be a good light. You know the experts tell us to follow the rules of 1/3's with regards to the horizon. This just proves that rule doesn't apply to all images.

Beautiful photo, Alan! I really like the way the different textures are layered, starting with the sand in the foreground, followed by the smaller layer of the grasses, followed by the even smaller rock layer and finally the thin strip of visible water which meets the sky. Colors are well saturated and beautiful. Well done!
