Well done Charlie! These shots of the eclipse are truly excellent. Good colour and detail in the moon. This is a testament not only to your skills as a photographer, but also to the quality of your camera. I've been wanting to pick up a C740, but will have to save my pennies a little longer! I was using my SLR with ASA 800 film . I would be interested in knowing what the metadata for you photos had to say about the exposure times used. Just call me a techie who craves details. ;-) Thanks for you kind comments on my photos of Banff Park. They were appreciated.

very nice, especially for such a low MP camera... never thought to use the digital zoom (cause of the distortion) to get the image up closer... the layering is superb... many hours of twiddling I would imagine.
