So sweet... I love the way the lighting is dappled in front of her, in the background. The title is perfectly fitting; she looks as though she is a small bird, about to take her first leap from her mothers safe nest.

I think doing away with the top portion so that you end up with a square format is more effective. As is, it's still strong.
